Comment:

This is a mix for my sister Siobhan (on AOTM too!) who recently sent me more mixes than I can shake a stick at. So my original idea was to return the favour with a mix based around the characters from a bizarre series of cartoons called "the rejected", which really must be seen to be believed. But the idea sort of blossomed out of that, and it became a more sort of bizarre epic of a mix, possibly also inspired by Spencer's "The Faerie Queene", which i have just finished reading. So anyway, she's getting this and since she managed the tough task of making a Smiths mix for me, a Smiths fan (that's both original and excellent), I'm also setting about making her a Beastie Boys one. So, enjoy, sis.

Finally found this even though my computer is dying a slow romantic death, possibly of consumption. But eeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee! I like the looks of this one! Thank you so much! OK, you have the Electric Soft Parade - one of my favourites - going into Smokie Robinson; that rules. And Getz / Gilberto always gets my vote. The KIDS - they listen to the RAP MUSIC! Etc. Is that a cover of Das Model? Because that rocks. Anyway, as you can probably tell I'm just commenting on random bits when I see them, so basically, I can't wait to hear this. And Beastie Boys, eh? That's actually something I'd been meaning to do for a while - I will come up with the goods forthwithithly, but not until I've handed in my history of Romance languages essay. Ah well, enjoy Spenser. Ta!
