Comment:
A 2 cd mix for Steph. The other night she told me she loved the new Interpol cd, and how she came into liking them. It turns out, someone I know introduced her to them. The conversation went on to other bands she likes, stuff she's never heard, etc. and thus this mix came into being. Both sides of the cds start off in the 1960s, then 70s, then so on. I suppose, this is a musical history of myself (although no "indie pop" stuff as I know Steph prefers harder rock than that, even though I snuck in a few lighter tracks for interest). Also, this "history" ends in the 90s, as I'd rather introduce Steph to stuff that she may have missed the first time around, and not recent stuff that she can hear on either RTR fm or Triple J. I'm sure she listens to either one or both.Feedback:
That's lovely - the Tindersticks song is my v. favourite of theirs and it's hard to go wrong with Television followed by Big Star. Great stuff.
great to have you back, is the summer there yet? great stuff as usual
Almost summer!
Wow! This looks great. It's always fun making a mix geared to a specific person. I'm sure she'll be pleased with this, as it's filled with wonderful artists and songs.
Great!
really wonderful stuff.
Yes, yes. Many wonderful picks.
A lot of great picks here. I think your first disc is absolutely amazing. Oh, and, my friend thinks Interpol is a lame Joy Division tribute band!
Great stuff both. Some real sounds of my youth here- Ride and Slowdive back to back! Yes!
Lucky Steph, many top tunes & artists I've seen at the 'Old Trout , Windsor here.
Outstanding, both!!!
Looks like a great mix here.
This looks pretty fantastic. Please drop me a line someday, Sue, and let me know how you're doing.
Like this a lot! We got really into Triple J earlier this year when we were back in Sydney and I'm looking forward to exploring your link. Thanks.
Great stuff!
excellent mix. of course. :)
