Bush Wins
Comment:
I made this compilation in the dark chance that Bush won a second term. The dark chance will be hanging over our country for a while. Check the Kerry Wins mix for a look at what coulda been. I've got this entire mix on my server, but can't give out the url here. Contact me if you want to d/l it.Feedback:
OK - the election is over & some are already thinking about 2008 - there are still intense emotions on either side of the fence; and here's a little tongue-in-cheek development to think about:
Democrats are quick to say that George Bush was not elected in 2000. It was basically a put down that his Presidency was illegitimate. It didn't much concern me because I knew where it was coming from: a way to save face (especially when one relects on the fact that they have now lost 5 of the last 7 presidential elections)
Well they're about to learn that they can't have it both ways. Our Constitution says that a man can be elected President twice.
So my question to them is this: Was he elected or appointed? If he was elected, then it's only 4 more years.
If he was appointed... : )

that comment had nothing to do with the mix. (Although most of the world and much of the country knows he wasn't elected in 2000. It was a scary coup.) On to the music, I think this is beautiful, it starts off with one of my favorite songs. Let's see what we can change locally for now, and finagle a starategy for four years from now. Also, check out musicforamerica.org!
g.a.b., I'd just like to point out that a vote for Bush is a vote that supports the racist b.s. in Florida in 2000, and the continuing disenfranchisement / covert racism in our country. So sure, if you hate blacks (whether consciously or not), support Bush.
hey what do you think about the mix?
also, could you please kill that photo from your comment on the Kerry mix I made? It's a movie rip-off, it has nothin to do with the music mix.
Thanks!
Joe

Hey Joe,
I like the mix (for the most part)...esp. the 2 from Mr. Jones, er Bowie, Eno & Belle and Sebastian. As far as Kerry goes...even Bill Clinton agrees with me:
New York Post -Saturday, November 6, 2004
Former President Bill Clinton, in his first comments on President Bush's re-election, yesterday
urged Democrats not to "whine" about the outcome, but to find a "clear national message".
"If we let people believe that our party doesn't believe in faith and family, doesn't believe in work and freedom, that's our fault," he said.
The Republicans had a clear message, a good messenger, great organization and great strategy,
" said Clinton.
I'm sure the Democrats will have that clearer message in 2008: Good Luck !
