I compounded this tape on 4 October 1994. I was beginning to get a flow for making these tapes. On this one, I decided to tug on some emotions. I sent our listeners from moderation to depression to levity to stirring enthusiasm. Side 1 ends with the austere, complete, 12-inch remix of Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love / Where Did Our Love Go'. Marc Almond's desperation is palpable. I had to do something to revive our audience (& our players, for that matter). I feel I did it. I don't know if 'We Shall Overcome' had ever been played in a sports arena during a game. But I thought it was appropriate.
