Comment:

made for a boy in my english class. the actual liner notes:
invalid litter dept.: a damn good song. from "relationship of command", their latest, although their older stuff is pretty decent, too.
every shining time: just consider yourself lucky that i didn't put the live version on. which reminds me, these guys suck live. from "how it feels to be something on", which i don't have but need to buy.
bloodflame: chick-fronted "metal". their singer, nicole hughes, is uber-hot. they're from london, ontario. track taken from "flamethrower".
here we go: this is from a matador records comp. i need to get one of their cd's. i adore this song beyond belief.
march: local band that broke up. taken from "great plains", which i dubbed from kyle.
all night diner: this song makes me wanna jump around like nothing else. one of the most fan-fucking-tastic bands ever. from "building nothing out of something".
aspen ages beautifully: from a glue factory records comp. a sad, simple break-up song. long, almost seven minutes, but i goes by quickly.
bubba da: britney spears is not pop. the backstreet boys are not pop. this is pop.
wish i may: this girl is my idol, the epitome of all things strong and womanly. plus, she puts on an amazing live show. this track from "to the teeth".
the last last one: the lead singer of power-punk band propagandhi took a sabbatical to start this band. from "fallow".
minnesota: the recording quality of this is shit, but the track is amazing. from a mix someone made for me.
in stitches: i got this cd yesterday, but i just fancy this song. from "do the collapse".
suit up!: one of those songs that you put on in the car and then next thing you know you're getting pulled over for going fifty-something in a playground zone. seriously. these guys are local, see them live, support the scene. from "laika".
405: a mellow happy song. from "we have the facts and we're voting yes", which has really cool cover art.
girls! girls! girls!: simple and kinda self-descriptive. this woman is a goddess. from "exile in guyville", her 1993 debut.
rock and roll: another fab local band that broke up. maybe someday i'll tell you the story involving kim, me, their bass player, and a set of handcuffs.
tiny cities made of ashes: a second track because they're just that good. from "the moon and antarctica".
the leaf: not very many songs on the album have vocals, this is one of them. a mellow dreamy song. from "oui".
magic in the air: another floaty, dreamy song by a shaggy british boy. from the widely acclaimed "the hour of bewilderbeast".
heart attack: an amazing chick-rock band that will one day take over the world. this song from "call the doctor".
hummingbirds: another semi-emo pop song from "this conversation is ending starting right now".
holiday: not a bad song, but apparently their earlier stuff is better. from "something to write home about".
christmas card: cuties from socal. from their self-title.
cosmic rays: a beautiful song- too bad i cut off the last fifteen seconds. whoops. from the aforementioned matador records comp.
