This was a birthday mix for a recently met friend. She led a rather sheltered childhood (in my opinion) and missed out on some good music. I intended this to be a primer for some of the better bands of recent years. I kind of went on a country/twang run near the middle, but the songs flow nicely between each other. I intended for this to showcase the contrasting musical styles and hopefully prod my friend into exploring music outside of her current interests. I mean, where else are you going to get Loretta Lynn and Radiohead on the same CD?
