Comment:
A mix for my three brothers We all share a deep enthusiam for and interest in da stuff. We've all had wild adventures at shows, although they didn't go to gigs together much. Most of the choices are for old times' sake, but I did put on a few new things. My brother David hitchhiked from Santa Cruz to San Francisco to see Bruce Springsteen at Winterland (at my insistence) and saw one of the best shows of our lives. David turned me on to Boz Scaggs and Ellen McIlwaine and maybe Duke Robillard. Carl, the younger one, and I have regular chats about music; we saw Chris Gaffney tear up the place at a blues club in Long Beach. He was the author of the hilarious comments I sent around to the splitters about Los Lobos. He introduced me to Bill Frisell. Michael, the oldest one, dragged me around when I was still in high school. I clearly remember getting stoned and listening the Garcia album the day it came out. He took me to see my second Grateful Dead concert at El Monte Legion Stadium. Route 66 was a road we travelled as children with our parents. Dave Alvin, Chris Gaffney, and Los Lobos are our homies. Is that too much information?Feedback:

I love this mix, Sally. And I must've missed the comments on Los Lobos, but would love to see them!!
Excellent!
no LL Cool J - Going back to Cali ?
Very well executed - nice comments too. Aren't brothers great?! :)
Wish my sister had taken the bait when I tried to turn her on to punk rock; when I failed I began to realise we had nothing in common whatsoever(parents not withstanding) Anyway, this is a terrific mix Sally, lucky bros you've got.
Great mix. Love the comments.
Good stuff here Sally! I've been to concerts with three of my four siblings and had a great time-some stranger than others. Very.
great looking mix.....ellen was way underated. although they played her on ksan alot, my guess was if she were a male playing that slide guitar, perhaps??? btw, i believe she's in canada and i once missed seeing her in michigan a yr ago. oh, if only the "carausel ballroom, fillmore, winterland and family dog would be around today and for top groups 3 at a time for $3-5.00......sigh! sure miss those times!!!!
Great mix, great story.
Lovely stuff, Sally. And a great write up too.
