So I am secretly in love with my best guy friend in the entire world. He knows I used to like him, but he has no idea that I still do. So I made him this cd and put it in his car labeled "Play Me." Umm... ix-nay on the Ain-Pay. Jimmy Eat World's "Pain" is -- if memory serves -- trying to break free of a drug addiction, and the line "it's a lie/a kiss with open eyes/and she's not breathing back" doesn't exactly connotate love. I'd go for "Work" off the "Futures" album instead... much better for romantic intentions.
Oh, and same with U2's "Pride (In the Name of Love)" which is about civil rights. If you have to go for a U2 song, I suggest "Stay (Faraway So Close)" or "All I Want Is You."

Excellent Get Up Kids, Something Corporate and... Toto tracks. haha. Seems a bit eclectic, which is always nice.
Nothing says I like you than a Nick Cave song...try "Bring it On" or "Into My Arms" and by the way Quinn is so right about the U2. I also like stay you can also put "The first time" or the new one "Sometimes you can't make it...own"
