Is that REALLY Brecht SINGING on that track? I somehow doubt it, but if it is, I'd love to hear it! Cool mix.

er, no, and it isn't stephen sondheim singing "the ballad of sweeney todd" either. it sounds like it may be lotte lenye - it's a very old recording. thanks for pointing that out, though - i subconsciously put the composer down as the artist without realizing.

Loved that Triplets of Belleville tune - & of course a lot of old jazz now has cartoon associations, so when we hear Cab Calloway we think of dancing skeletons - funny how these things evolve --
