Comment:
Country, blues, folk, pop, cajun, & R&B versions of one song. Too much of a good thing? Well, it's surprising how the variety of styles keep it from getting monotonous. This grew out of a show DJ Tom Diamant did on KPFA a few years ago, & by now of course I'm obsessively collecting ALL versions of Corrine, Corrina, (though some didn't make the cut here). So if you know of any others, please let me know --Feedback:
I believe there's one by the country duo Brooks and Dunn that's on a Bob Wills + Texas Playboys tribute album.

ted hawkins does a great version

Found this will searching Piano Red... Brilliant! Makes me wish I knew another version so I could help you out.
This excellent mix has been included in "Never Too Much of a Good Thing" - opening today at the AoTM Exhibitions page.
I think Joni Mitchell does one - 'A Bird that Whistles' from 'Chalkmark in a Rainstorm' kinda reworks the song into a guitar/clarinet improv.
This is absolutely extraordinary. I shall keep an eye out and an ear cocked for additions!
