Comment:

Here in Britain, two of the last 3 or 4 years finest exponents of guitar pop music split up this week. On the one hand, we have Busted, who sold millions of records and everyone either liked or despised in extreme amounts. They weren't the greatest ever, they were a boy band who happened to plug their ears and their amps into Californian power punk anthems. The other, Mclusky, you either liked or you hadn't heard, and they never sold more than 5 copies of each record, but they never sold out or lost their consistancy. These two tapes (numbers 88 and 89) are tributes, with the last song on each being what I feel should be the bands swansong. This is Busteds. The title cmes from the fact that Charlie Simpsons defection was the eky reason for the break-up of the band.
