Comment:

This an Almost-All 80s punk mix. Obviously, a good number of these jams straddle the two decades (70s-80s) and they were included for their sheer kicking ass. Problem was, a friend and I got to talking about 80s punk, and felt like we could only come up with a handful of punk bands we even liked. For this reason, I omitted The Misfits, The Germs, Circle Jerks and the Descendents because we'd already talked about them. I made this mix for him to keep him on track for his 80s punk delving.

Unfortunately, lots of good songs didn't make the cut, but oh well. I omitted Husker Du Zen Arcade-era stuff just because I didn't want to get too post-punky. I don't know why I included the PiL song really - just to mix it up a bit. Op Ivy included because it would be a crime not to. And the Exploding Hearts, though they're a much later band, are on there because they really rocked, and that song is sweet. >> Anyway, just a mix I threw together for a friend. Nothing major.
