I have to be honest, the majority of this isn't an original mix. It came from a VH1 program called "The 25 Greatest Protest Songs"and I just wanted to share a mix I made from that. I added a few others like the Green Day song and John Lennon's "Imagine". I included a Nina Simone selection because I find it achingly beautiful and would feel remiss to leave out a Nina Simone song on a collection of protest songs. Maybe this could serve as a soundtrack to your next protest outing. Enjoy.

Tons of great songs here. I guess VH1 hasn't heard of Phil Ochs. I'd rank his songs ahead of nearly anything else.
