Comment:
First of two mixes that I finished today. Spiritualized track is from the insanely great (for a tribute album) tribute to Junior Kimbrough that recently came out. Thanks to lo-fi jr. (once again) for hipping me to the mighty Plastic Crimewave Sound and the Madeline Chartrand track is another one that's been in heavy rotation lately. It's from the psych comp "Freakout Total", a compilation of Canadian psych-madness from 1968-73. It's gooooood stuff, I tell ya.Feedback:
Fantastic Shawn.
This looks really interesting.
F*ck-yeah.
nice one
good stuff esp. the Junior and Black Mountain.
A nice looking and interesting mix.
Cool mix. Liking the Fall, OOIOO and YLT picks.
Don't know enough to comment, only Spiritualized, The Fall & Yo La Tengo.
Nice. Love the Spiritualized, Pussy Galore and Fall picks.
Cool stuff.
Shawn - what Spiritualized would you recommend? I have none. But I do have a Junior Kimbrough mix if interested.
Just fantastic, Shawn - but then, I'd expect nothing less! Spiritualized right through to Plastic Crimewave Sound is excellent, and that's a nice YLT pick too. Actually, you've inspired me to go and listen to Spiritualized - haven't done so in a while.
Good stuff. I listened to 'Lazer Guided Melodies' this week- first time in ages- still wonderful!
Looks fabulous... I love that Cambodian Cassette Archives cd.
I'll echo Mr Mohr F**k yeah!
Glad to contribute (again). As always, plenty of way-out picks mixed with absolute unknowns that I'm sure are soon to be faves. Aren't there a coupla tunes from the new Stooges on that Jr. Kimbrough tribute? I gotta check that out!
