went to this awful seminar for work and they did one of those icebreaker activities, where you choose a partner and introduce them to the audience and tell everyone an interesting fact you learn about this person in a brief meeting. a friend got stuck with this awful dude whose only interesting fact was that it was "his month", meaning black history month. the poor seminar speaker still thinks that this dude was employee of the month, but i liked the way that it sounded and decided that february would be my month, valentine's day and everything aside, i will make this month mine. this mix was made for four and a half hour road trips. it is pedro the lion heavy because i saw him play for the third time a week ago. the desaparecidos was recently purchased and enjoyed, tracks 11-13 are from the most recent merge records compilation in honor of chapel hill. most of it probably doesn't flow as well as i would like due to blatant genre-jumping but once again, this is my month. the flaming lips track is from the future soundtrack of america compilation.
