Comment:

I have a special place in my heart for Mr. Harcourt. With three prper albums, an ep and a handful of singles, I thought there was certainly enough stuff to do a good overview of his work. A full six of these songs are from his debut album Here Be Monsters (except,, ironically, for the track Here Be Monsters which is actually a b-side) but that's because it is far and away his best album, although all three have amazingly good stuff on them. He's also one of those artists that has a lot of excellent b-sides, so there is a smattering of those here as well...

Nice one Laura. I recently picked up his first two albums but still need to get the newest one. It would be nice to hear the b-sides too.

Superb Laura, been a fan of Ed's since the early days. BTW have you checked out Matthew Jay, I'm sure that as a fan of Ed's you'd love Jay too.

Beautiful laura_k...that first LP is a wonder, start-to-finish. Tracks six and nine on this will always have special meaning for me-always. He's a great lyricist and his emotional delivery inspires me on so many levels. Viva Ed!

I just made myself a single artist mix of Ed - I am happy to see that I'm not the only one who decided to give him that tribute! I can't say I have access to singles of his - I wish I did - so mine is basically an over view of the albums. We share a bunch of picks - 'She Fell Into My Arms' has been a top 20 favorite song for the past 3 years! Love the mix!!
