Comment:

Like many of you, perhaps, my living area is almost always congested with piles of CDs. Last week I managed to consolidate several of these communities of varying size into two giant vertical stacks. (That's what passes for housecleaning around here.) Before re-filing them--a task as yet unaccomplished--I took the opportunity of sampling their varied contents for a varied mix, the results of which are documented herein. The title and cover illustration are taken from an old design book obtained from the library during a recent giveaway.

Gilbert O'Sullivan?! You been diggin' real deep, man. But seriously, this looks like a truckload of good, clean entertainment for anyone who has a functioning pair of ears.

Very cool. Love the Kiss through Television Personalities and Costa/Veloso through the Lucksmiths and Raymond Scott through Sonny Clark stretches especially.

Very nice stuff, Lennart. Funny, I just finished trimming down my stacks today, as well. Been too swamped lately to work on a mix, though.

Looks like you're about as organized as I am when it comes to arranging CDs. Actually I like to put all mine in one 26 foot stack As for the mix, there's plenty to like here -- Dressy Bessy, Tages and Gilbert O., who's always been a guilty pleasure. So did you get that fantastic Bank Holidays track from one of my mixes (which I got from SueEW), or did you discover it on your own?

I've done the math and looked at this from every angle-a statistical sample is necessary. This achieves that sampling....and a load o' fun in the doing! Go saaf!
