Comment:
Made for a very lovely friend of mine back in Liverpool. Exploring that nice Mr Gedge's viewing habits and raising an eyebrow (just the one) at what could be deduced therefrom. It's interesting (to me) to note that the Wedding Present were much more of a TV band and Cinerama were inevitably somewhat typecast as movie buffs.
Oh, yes. For those who don't know, Honey Rider was the first ever Bond girl - Ursula Andress in a white bikini. Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is James Bond. And "Softly, Softly" was a British TV Cop show. I'm going to assume everyone knows about Bewitched, Get Smart and William Shatner.
Feedback:
Don't forget WP's Pleasant Valley Sunday (Monkees)7" from '92. I haven't listened to any of the Cinerama. What's best to start with? Great cover by the way...
Definitely intriguing!
I never made the Pleasant Valley Sunday connection to the TV. Duh!
I think the best place to start with Cinerama is the excellent debut album "Va Va Voom".
