Well, I'm not much for funk, and Hendrix never did anything for me, but I like the anti-hipter sentiment. Music should be enjoyed rather than used to determine factors of coolness. And thanks for making me feel guilty for getting into indie music over the last year. I think I've used Bright Eyes and The Decemberists like half a dozen times in recent mixes. Sorry :( I still like "pleibian" stuff more, though! Like Smash Mouth and The Go-Go's and Less Than Jake and REO Speedwagon and what have you. So, cool mix in concept

Nuthin' wrong w/bright eyes fars I'm concerned - but - I do agree that a mix should indicate who you are rather than who you'd like people to think you are....
does that make sense?
Bottom line - go w/what you like - not w/what someone says you should like. Yeah - that's what I mean.
