Mixed Genre

Circa '70
Comment:
This is intended to be a companion mix to the wonderful Meridian 1970 compilation just released in the UK.As it is subtitled Protest,Sorrow,Hobos,Folk & Blues.I thought I'd do a mix with a couple of genres not included Reggae & Soul. All released in 1970Feedback:
I will receive my copey of that Jon Savage record next week this looks really fantastic,
Excellent!
6,12 and 20 stand out!
Where does that Lloyd Charmers Meters cover come from? I love 18 and 23.
Looks great.
MOST excellent!!!
Real nice stuff, John. Lots of stuff here I haven't heard, but what I know, I like very much, especially the opener.
Looks very nice.
Wow! This looks great. I would love, love LOVE to hear the Flamingos doing Buffalo Soldier. Having trouble even imagining that.
John this is 'kin fantastic!
Candi Staton AND Lee Dorsey?!? Beautiful.
"reggae got soul got so much soul..." looks good.
Wow - I like the retro-grade!
This is really inviting. There's several tracks that I don't recognize by name, but judging by their context and surroundings (Etta James, U-roy, Doris Duke), they can only be great. Would love to hear this.
Really great.
Very cool.
Wow - really excellent stuff here, John. Looks like it has wonderful flow.
Yeah, Looks Great!
Circa cool....
Good lookin' mix!
It's hard to believe the number one single in 1970 was "raindrops keep falling on my head", when all this infinitely more magical music was in the air . . .
