This mix was entirely inspired by the Back To The Seventies mix you will down *does silly little web pointy thing* there. It was yay fun to do. And will make for a fun drive somewhere soon. But, as I hope you'll agree, the very best thing about doing this mix was finding the site that provided the cover star - which is the 1970s Continental Airlines Stewardess Uniform.Feedback:
It's nice to see a 70's mix that's not ALL cheese. Granted, I enjoy the cheese of the 70's but so many 70's mixes feature the same songs (which are usually also the same songs as Rhino's "Have A Nice Day" series). I love the Sparks, BeBop, and Chic picks especially. And great cover art. Uniform Freak is a never ending source of great images.
Funny how some of the songs that I couldn't tune out fast enough back in the 70's sound so good today. Dunno if that says something about the sad state of popular music or my own nostalgia. This looks nicely mixed & smartly goes beyond the typical "first came disco, then punk" 70's type mixes. Excellent cover to boot.
