Comment:

I just made this mix for my good friend Adam (my musical soulmate) who is randomly moving to California today. It is very sad for me. So how do I cope? A mix of course. These songs are carefully orchestrated for his trip. We live on Long Island... so this is a pretty big deal. So It's basically songs about different facets of Cali and LA, surrounding by songs about the East Coast, and NY.. FoW is great for that. :-)

I think most of it is great music but don't you think there's a little too much Fountains Of Wayne on it ?

Yea I would normally never ever repeat an artist even once (it makes me squirm), but that's kinda the point of the mix... FoW is, for us, all about living in NJ and NY, and th epoint was to surround all these typical fun California songs with East Coast songs by a fun band that really loves singing about where they're from. It's supposed to make him miss home. Fountains of Wayne means something more to you when you're able to drive over Utopia Parkway singing the song at the top of your lungs, or if you've ever actually sat in traffic on the Tappenzee.. ;-)
