Comment:

I'm going through a bit of a revisiting-Bill-Evans phase right now, hence the two pieces by him. And Tomasz Stanko, introduced here through g.a.b. l@bs (Gene), is my new modern trumpet god after Dave Douglas and Kenny Wheeler. Thanks, too, to Claude for 6 & 11. While this is mostly a "jazz" mix, I was tempted to choose the "ambient" category, as this does evoke a very laidback, sinking-into-the-sofa feel.

Any Bill Evans is good stuff and 4,7,10.12 and 13 work for me as well. As I write I am reseaching the Kronos Quartet for a mix in progress.

"Ambient??" -- you goin' soft on us, boy? (just joking, of course).
Nice Stanko track &, in general, all around picks; especially dig the Kronos Quartet inclusion.

I love the Michael Brook track, and almost anything by Stephane Grappelli. The rest is a myustery to me, but one which I would gladly explore......
