I really love listening to the Tom Russel album "Hotwalker" but it doesn't work too well putting songs on tapes as they only seem to work as interval tracks to break up the sides, which is a shame. This is the latest mix to add to the alarmingly spacious collection of mine. A lot of these songs are written by, about, and evoke images of people and places so alien to me, yet at the same time are so completely timeless, it inspires such wistful small town daydreaming. Of which the title refers to.
