Comment:

XMAS SAMPLER 2004 - "We" were always Morrissey fans but for recent years now we had to keep it on the DL. Not this year! One of our gang even got to be in a video with Moz! I think it came at a good time, he returned in the new era of 'Alternative Gold' in Los Angeles. Alt Rock for the too old & too cool set. Those marketing people... gotta hand it to 'em. Smart. I'm falling for it. Mixing together the sorta old with the new been great so far and even though the radio, hopefully, hasn't influenced this sampler - you can start seeing patterns. Cut Copy sounds like New Order. Scissor Sisters sounds like The Bee Gees. Blacksmoke sounds like Ministry. X still sounds like X. People think Interpol sounds like Joy Division. G.W. sounds just like daddy. Oh, well. Maybe klezmer/polka mash-up remixes will be the next big thing? We can hope... xoxox Your Friend, Garret.

Interpol DOES sound like Joy Division, but in a good way.
