cassettemix that translated well to cd. tape had been used years before for a half hour recording of me holding a microphone to my bare chest in the hopes of getting a heartbeat. said recording didn't turn out but the label stuck, gradually evolved into the title of the mix recorded over it. comfort music, sweaters pulled over the hands music, a safe place to land. come to think of it, that's why i was trying to record my heartbeat. come to think of it, that's why i make mixes in the first place.
