another "meloncholy just below the mainstream poprock male vocal from the late eighties/early ninties" type mix, i've made a few. this one, a loose 'going into the city at twilight/returning home from the city a good while before dawn' sort of affair is somehow special for me. i made it in early 2003 and, considering how often it gets left in my car cd player for weeks on end, should really be sick of it by now, but i'm not. maybe i just discovered/rediscovered some really good older songs in that period? maybe these were, for the most part, songs intimately connected with that time when i was falling for someone and knew (for once) they were falling for me. really, i should give him a copy of this. oh, ben, we are not allowed to ever break up, for it we do, i will have to give more than half my cd collection to the gypsies.
