Comment:
It's a funny thing about gossip - everyone enjoys it but everyone puts it down. And of course in pop culture it's always women, not men, who talk too much -- which doesn't match my life experience, I must say -- but it's reflected in these (mostly R&B) songs -- Loudmouth Lucy, Big Mouth Gal, Girls Talk, etc., with only Martha Carter's answer song "I Don't Talk Too Much" retorting that "you yack quite a bit yourself".
Well, I don't want to run off at the mouth about this, just to say that these are all jumping tunes
about not keeping quiet!
Feedback:
you're such a chatty cathy. great selections here. funny - i was just thinking 'bout rachel sweet. used to have a crush on her. always liked the dave edmunds version of 'girls talk' more than elvis'.
Plenty here to hear and talk about, but you didn't hear it from me. How'd you get Norman Rockwell to come out of retirement to do your cover?
brilliant!the concept and the cover and the music...
Great idea. One of the better covers I've seen. Kudos!
This is just fabu, Joey! I'd suggest The 5 Keys' wonderful "Your Teeth and Your Tongue Will Get You Hung" for your next mix.
Very cool idea and mix!
What they all said
Tremendously great, as usual. I'd like to elaborate, but I think that sums it up.
Great theme & mix.
wonderful! Love that sonny boy williamson pick.
Btw, dood, where's Poison's "Talk Dirty to Me"?!?!?
Rob - nope, no Poison here -- partly 'cause my taste doesn't run to hair-metal, but mainly 'cause that song is not about gossip, so it doesn't fit the theme . . .
(I was kidding...) :-)
Terrific as always!
Now this is what a theme mix is all about. Our lips are sealed.
Hey Joey, everybody's talkin' at me. Very cool theme! Excellent as always.
Talk about a great mix! 2, 6, 11, & 28 are personal favorites. And the others, well ... I'm speechless.
Freakin' Awesome!!!
Superb theme & mix!
Great fun!
How come nobody told me about this!!!!???
Looks like everything's been said... I'll tell you what though, I'd like to hear this.
