Comment:

reworking of a much revered mix tape. except i went back and the syllyk track was suddenly very annoying and my abuse of the berkey "interludes" disk seemed somehow excessive, especially in light of another mix in this vein. give me an opening for a "laughing stock" talk talk track and DAMN i will use it, won't i. it's about what the title says, though. comforting music for a time when i often need comforting. i wanted to think about sitting on a rain-soaked wooden porch in a thick flannel workshirt. i wanted to convey that scent of rain and cold and wet cedar, if only to myself. maybe this does it, i'll need to listen a few more times.
