I've been hunting for songs in my vast mp3 collection. I have dozens of burned cds that store all the music that I've removed from my computer for space over the years. I have lots of old mix cds that I need to re-burn, and usually I have special burned cds that are the complete versions of past mix cds that I made, but there are several cases that for whatever reason I don't have them saved in that fashion and I need to scour for the songs from scratch. In particular, this evening I was looking for tracks from Sweet Sampler 5. Originally, SSV was finished completed late 2001, early 2002. Recently, when I was playing my copy, many of the songs were scratched and damaged and eventually didn't even play the whole way thru. I set the disc by my computer to remind me to correct the problem after that and I've finally gotten around to it. I collected all the songs from over 12 mp3 volumes I saved them to, ripped and re-downloaded a few, and compiled them for the reburn.

As always, Sweet Samplers are mixes made specifically for myself that contain songs I love immensely and which also reflect the happenings during the time in my life of their creation. It's been interesting going back and hearing these songs again and remembering the specific feelings, incidents and thoughts that inspired me to include them on the disc 5 Sweet Samplers ago. It's like a sound-trip down memory lane.
