Comment:

This mix is for my sister, aged 15, who is constantly exposed to the shallow and vapid likes of Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, etc. as her feminine role models. As a woman, I wanted to expose her to a variety of ideas about what femininity is supposed to be, and how women can act, so this mix is for her. Remember ladies, women can think for themselves and defy expectations. The women in this mix prove that. :)

Nice selection. There have been a couple of other mixes of female rockers. I did one for my eleven year-old ( Well-Behaved Women Don't Make History )

Nice selection. That Liz Phair tune is always a favorite. Look into Sleater Kinney for your next all-girl mix.

Cool. I always appreciate the all-female mix -- I've done a few myself. Hope that your little teenie-bopper sister appreciates it and plays it twice a day.

Sorry, but how you can include Ike And Tina Turner on a mix that is supposed to teach that "women can think for themselves" is quite beyond me.

Further, Christina Aguilera is neither shallow nor vapid.

And no Bikini Kill? Mercy.

Yeah - throw open the doors to the immense variety of female singers. 15 is a good age to start going beyond the obvious, & this mix offers a lot of different directions to choose from - good job!
