an exploration of the relationship between writing and memory that became, manifest, something more about the relationships between writing and death. is writing a sort of dying? it's what spalding gray said, in "monster in a box," but i can no longer ask him to clarify this idea at greater length. "the body" sample worked better at the end, atmospherically, then what had been there originally (another sample from "times square," which of course worked better thematically.) i'm a little unhappy with the noise levels in places, but the flow is surprisingly successful. or not surprising, considering how much butt-busting there was involved.rider, writer. get it? get it??
