Just Don't
Comment:
A thematic exercise that I quite enjoyed... Possibly done before, but I must say that this mix turned out really well. :) I am all about themes, but not about compromising the flow of a mix for the sake of a theme, so this one actually took a little fine tuning for me to be happy with it...Feedback:
Clever idea, well executed!
Very good choices indeed! Nice work.
Yeah, I love this kind of mix. It's fun to do. You're right tough these are more difficult to execute than one might think. They really take some finesse! Lovely lovely job. I especially like Burt and Dionne.
So I guess all I CAN DO is enjoy this mix?!
Cool - and you didn't use "Don't give up on us baby". Extra credit for that.
...and a gold star for avoiding "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. You know your do's and dont's! Don't do there girlfriend!
Do there?! GO there. I don't know what I'm doing.
Interesting theme, and some great picks here. Nice.
Don't know what else to say besides: Great!
LOL! How 'bout a sequel: "Just Can't."
I love theme tapes like this. Some great songs here.
Although I have to admit that this type of theme mix doesn't generally appeal to me, you've picked some great songs, particularly the Felt, Beach Boys, Talking Heads, Divine Comedy, Dionne, Streets and Dusty picks.
I'm always like the 26th person to comment on your fab mixes, thus there is nothing amazing to say to your excellent mixes... ho hum, it looks great anyways.
Cool - and it's nice to see, like you say, that you didn't forfeit quality in favour of theme. And, to echo Rob, there are some excellent tracks - the Wedding Present, PiL, Morrissey, Divine Comedy and M83 among others.
some great picks and a nice flow:)
Cool! And for the flip side, see
joey's mix.
joey's mix.

Don't stop now! (Don't think twice - it's all right!!!!)
