Comment:

My first CD mix for a friend whose musical tastes are wider than mine,he likes rockabilly and cajun, two genres yet to tweak my happy button.I'm not sure what he'll make of the MSR Singers, their song is about the ultimate horror of interracial marriage;a curio of the American song poem genre, it has to be heard to be believed. After its abhorrent sentiments I thought it was only fitting for Half Man Half Biscuit to follow it.A couple of tracks from my New Zealand mix crept on to this one,I couldn't deprive my friend of the pleasure of enjoying them.Tracks 3,4 and 5 were all new discoveries from our trip to Liverpool and Manchester last weekend.

Tons of good stuff Rupert! Nosotrash, Of Montreal, St. Etienne, Chicks (again) and Heikki, just to name a few. Maybe I should start trading with you instead of Kathryn! ;) Congratulations on getting the Olympics by the way. Will you have world class athletes playing bandminton in your back yard?

Don't know a lot of this. What I do know I like, esp. the Half Man Half Biscuit and Kimberley Rew tracks.
