Get Your Boots Laced, Papa! - (40's Jive)
Comment:
These are all hipsters from the years right after WWII - when, I like to imagine, the mood was exultant & exuberant & there was plenty of room to spread your wings. The war was over & for a few years it might have seemed like the world had been made safe for cool cats & chicks to let the good times roll. Well, even if it wasn't like that, that's the spirit of this mix -
Feedback:
Another wonderful from mix from my favourite joey. Love Nellie Lutcher, and the Gibson track. Love Night At The Opera!

nice one and great Slim Gaillard! hope all is well in Californy!!!!
This looks fun and thorough, as always.
Looks at least as entertaining as the cover art! I know a very small number of the songs here, but the titles suggest infinite riches within. Did they ever figure out who put the benzedrine in Mrs. Murphy's Ovaltine?
Lots to love here Joey D. A package was mailed yesterday headed for you.
Sweet! Love the cover art, as well.
What do you use for sources for your mixes? CD, LP, other?

Very cool.
They just don't make 'em like they used ta.
I was called a jive turkey once by this older fellow once... it really has no relation to this mix but i thought I'd share. Anyway, top notch mix.
Oh yeah, oh yeah! Loving the Lalo and Slim cuts especially, but everything I recognize is lovely & I bet the stuff I don't know is too.
Fantastic! Well, at least what I know here is fantastic. I love this stuff - this looks awesome.
That's a perfect idea for a closing track. Consider that idea stolen...
Hey, this looks really great! I missed it when you posted it. I'd love to hear this some day.
