Comment:

My sister and I are headed to Pitchfork's Intonation Fest in Chicago this weekend and this mix is helping us through the wait for flights. It's our first time in Chicago and we're excited to see the city for ourselves! We made a last minute decision just 3 days ago to go mostly because I nagged so much. It paid off and now I get to see some of my most beloved bands of the past 5 years of my life, like Broken Social Scene, DFA 1979, and Andrew Bird. I also get to see other artists that have got my interest recently like Four Tet, Dungen, Thunderbirds Are Now!, Xiu Xiu, and the Go! Team. Even more, I get to sample artists that I haven't really heard enough of like Deerhoof, The Wrens, Prefuse 73, and Tortoise. I'm soo very excited! We're also going to hit up some local museums and check out the famous deep dish pizza. Man, I'm betting most of my summer memories on this trip and music fest... it's gonna be good! I made this mix available through YouSendIt as a Winamp playlist (m3u) by clicking the link on the first track.

Today is the first day recovering from Intonation. What an amazing festival. Any particular performances you liked best?
