ELVIS COSTELLO - "Songs About F---ing And Fighting": Vol. 3
Comment:
Volume 3 of my utmost Elvis favorites. I was inspired to make this because a friend of mine recently requested "Elvis stuff I should have heard." I'm going to take these three volumes, make a fourth and hand him a career encompassing four disc retrospective box set. I feel a little strange putting it all into a big box set, since disc one is "most favorites," disc two is "second-most favorites," etc., but it seems that's the only possible way I can compile Elvis' stuff and be somewhat happy. (Trust me, I've tried to do this for years.) By the way, track 19 is the alternate rock arrangement, just in case you're wondering.Feedback:
What a fantastic present for your friend. Lots and lots of lovely picks - obviously very carefully chosen too.
Good project .Your friend will be blown away.Check out my Elvis mixes.
looking cool, Costello is always great.
Well, you know that you and I have somewhat different taste in the Elvis department, but a lot of songs that I love are here.
Yeah, you really can't go wrong with this guy.
Nice to see "London's Brilliant Parade"... that song and album really got me back into Elvis Costello after I'd stopped paying much attention to what he'd been doing for a few years. I think ANY version of "Everyday I Write The Book" is great but I'm particularly fond of the live version I've got on video from 1983 backed by the TKO Horns and Afrodisiak - very soulful.
Pretty cool mix.
