These Are A Few of My Favorite Strings
Comment:
An all acoustic, instrumental mix featuring stringed instruments.Feedback:
Absolutely excellent, Claude.
Wow. This looks great.
Looks great, Claude. The 10-13 section is especially intriguing. I've always like the Kronos Quartetes take on Jimi Hendrix and it's great to see that on a mix with Merle Travis and Doc Watson,, as well as the diverse array of artists you've assembled here. I'd really love to hear this one.
Looks wonderful!
THis looks fantastic! Nice mix.
fantastic is the word
Very nice.
This looks great, from what I can tell. Love Merle!
I would LOVE to hear this. Great work!
this looks really good Claude!!!!
This does look very nice, Claude. The Kronos Hendrix cover interests me, too. As does 17 -- is that a cover of the Lee Morgan tune?
Wow. I could get strung out on this!
Nice!
Ditto the flurry of coments below...this looks wonderful!
I don't know any of this; I'm completely intrigued by the Kronos 4 track...
Are you sure you aren't just stringing us along?
I'm pretty sure Jimi would have dug the Kronos Quartet treatment, & I know Merle Travis & Bob Brozman can do no wrong, but there are a lot of performers here I don't know. What relation is Pearl Django to that other stringy Django cat?

Jeff, Pearl Django plays acoustic jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt. You can listen to one of their songs
here.
And yes, Edwin, Sidewinder is Lee Morgan's composition.

Stringing us along? Damn, why didn't I think of that. How about "this is all a-COOL-stic!" Well that's pretty bad, but this mix is all good, I imagine. You're a first stringer! Okay, I'm done.
That Yoshida Brothers album is great; nice connections drawn between old and new, indie and established artists!
