ELVIS COSTELLO - "Songs About F---ing And Fighting": Vol. 4
Comment:
The fourth disc in my series of totally subjective Costello favorites (making this disc my fourth-most favorites). I'm contemplating making a fifth, but that might be overkill. I feel like pointing out that track 7 has special significance for me. After a breakup in 2000, I would always play that song on the jukebox whenever I went into a local Denny's, so it goes on despite what should probably be my better judgment.Feedback:
New Amsterdam makes the cut!! I like this one the best...
I must admit that I find it strange that it took four volumes for "New Amsterdam," "Red Shoes," "Alison," "Pump It Up," "Green Shirt" and "Peace, Love..." to show up, but I'm happy that they did. ;-)
Great mix of stuff from one of my favorite artists!
Love it. Especially the Imperial Bedroom picks and "Bedlam" is top notch from his new stuff
In response to what Rob said, aside from the first disc of this set, I kind of view all the tracks on the remaining discs to be on generally the same tier.
I didn't see the other volumes, but this looks grrreat. A word of advice: better cut off all identifying labels... before they put you on the torture table... 'cause somewhere in the Quisling Clinic

Because I'm 25 I'm only just starting to realise how fantastic Mr Costello is, since hearing God's Comic in recent years. I first heard Veronica around the time it was released.
Goodness Gracious and a good god damn.
