Comment:
Coming to you direct from 1970s West Africa, a magical time, when Fela Kuti took the funk and jazz of America and mixed it with West African percussion and highlife music, added a dose of political revolution, and created some of the funkiest sounds ever. Only 11 songs, but clocks in at 80 minutes.
Feedback:
This looks so good! et me know if you are interested in a trade.
I also like the look of this.I'm also interested in a trade.
The best of the best, as far as I'm concerned. Tony Allen is so much better than Fela Kuti it isn't funny. Track 7 kicks ass!
I forgot to mention-- the photograph I used on the cover is by the excellent Malian photographer Malick Sidibe. You can read a little about him here: http://www.gallery51.com/html51/artists/malick_sidibe_iframe.html
Is that the edited Shuffering and Shmiling? Can I have a copy?
