Latest entry from yours truly. A few notes:Opening one-two punch of some choice Christian psych rock, which has become my latest obession. That new Snatches Of Pink disc, Stag is some fuckin' great Royal Trux/Stones/70s stoner rock goodness. Insanely good and one of my favorite local bands.I'm also on a mission to pick up all of the Can reissues eventually. Just snagged Future Days a couple of weeks ago. Just pulled out Gish the other day for the first time in years. Still a great album, despite Billy Corgan's jackassery in general. Oh yeah, the title refers to my state of mind the last couple of days. Been home on vacation minding the kiddos while the wife's out of town and have gradually been coming down with a killer end-of-summer cold. Good stuff. :-)

Picking up the Can CDs were as big of a no-brainer as the recent remastering of the first two Stooges' LPs. Makes me think that 2005's reissues will outshine any new release, IMO. Though I have yet to come to a reassesment of the Pumpkin's catalog, I do love the rest of what I know here. Check out the latest issue Galactic Zoo Dossier for a nice article on Christian psych.

Firstly, I hope you feel better soon! Really very nice, this one - I love the Fall pick and I hear you on the Gish comments - I hadn't listened to the SPs in general for a couple of years, but have been doing so more recently. Lovely stuff in general, I think you should treat the littluns to a listen of this too :)

Looks great, Shawn. Those CAN remasters are excellent - I've just recently got the lot up to Babaluma, where I think I'll stop, not being such a fan of the later albums...except for Delay :)
