to anyone who is viewing this mix before any of the others, this is the second part of another mix i made entitled "elation. floating." check that one out first.

as you can tell, things between the boy and i are no more, which honestly broke my heart. we had so little time together, but it seemed like some diety had just dropped my perfect person into my lap. so, even though we weren't together an even mentionable time, it's still hard to work though it.

he went back to school in milwaukee, and, for a while, things were good. we talked and we expressed how much we missed each other, but gradually, his plate filled up a little too much, which left little time for a long distance relationship.

we ended things on a good note; we both want to talk and hang out when he's in town, but we both knew that holding on to what we had wasn't a good idea. the fect that everything ended so well kind of made it harder to deal with, because if it ended in a fight, i would probably be able to forget how much i care for him.

this is the mix that i made to help myself deal with it, to wave goodbye to it for now and let it set sail. i still plan on giving him the first mix i made, but should i give him this one too? i'd like input on that, because i'm not sure.

also, as a note about one of the songs, "fuck and run" shouldn't be taken in a literal sense; in the context of this mix, it's a metaphor for taking a chance and having it not work out. figured i'd clear that up before anyone branded him an asshole, because he's really a great guy. haha.
