I haven't been commenting on mixes lately thanks to mitigating circumstances (see also: my lovelife), but I've had this kicking around for a few weeks and thought I'd throw it up.

The mix was triply tricky to make because above all it is a Happy Birthday mix, with the stipulation that it should be mostly music she's never heard before, all with a subtext of "I wan't you back, but I'm not begging." Obviously, not all of the songs are perfectly relevant to the situation, but I think you can tell which tunes are semantic flagships.

Let's see... the Broken Social Scene feels a little out of place and doesn't segue satisfactorily into New Pornographers, but otherwise this a pretty sonically sweet run. Enjoy.
