Comment:

Warning - Surfin' Dead takes no liability for listeners trying to play along at home and take every drug mentioned on this record while listening to it. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of THE seminal drugs record - so I stole the sleeve to use as the cover.

The Kim Fowley track is the closing track from the pretty terrible "Kings of Saturday Night" album that I found 2nd hand in Belgium for 5 Euro. It was worth it for this track alone though, it's completely insane - my favourite bit is where he goes on about the "Young lesbians gobble garbage - here comes the body thief...". And the Atlantics & Sounds tracks have no connection as far as I know, I just thought they were interesting to put together.

.... Now I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life. I'm looking forward to it already. I'm gonna be just like you. The job, the family, the fucking big television. The washing machine, the car, the compact disc and electric tin opener, good health, low cholesterol, dental insurance, mortgage, starter home, leisure wear, luggage, three piece suite, DIY, game shows, junk food, children, walks in the park, nine to five, good at golf, washing the car, choice of sweaters, family Christmas, indexed pension, tax exemption clearing gutters, getting by, looking ahead, the day you die....I am speechless Surfin

You definitely capture the drugs in good ol' sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. A fine theme well executed here.

I'm getting a buzz!

Do you know the Macy Skipper original of "Bop Pills"? It's pretty good too, I could mp3 it to you if you're interested . . .

Dare I say it... There are a lot more drugging songs out there. I need to do one, if I could just remember where I paced my bong. This is WAY COOL!
