Comment:

Ever notice that every time you have party everyone ends up in the Kitchen? There was such a great turn out at this (B)ring (Y)our (O)wn (S)ong party that I had to open up this room. Please leave a song or comment. I will update the songs as they come in. I'll start it up again with one of my picks.

What better song to bring into the kitchen than "The Kitchen Floor" by the Broadways?

Drinking, eh? How about "Champagne from a paper cup" by Death Cab For Cutie. Ah, my favorite drinking song. As for the whole kitchen thing, "Pizza Day" by The Aquabats is the best food song ever! Thanks for the invite, btw.

White Man In Hammersmith Palais. Not my all-time favourite track or even all time favourite Clash track but it finds its way on practically every party mix I put together so lets keep things consistent. BTW, ta for the invite!

This cover is from what many have to come to call THE WORST ALBUM COVER OF ALL TIME. I thought it was so disturbing I had to make it my own. Covers can't be warm and fuzzy all the time. Hey who brought this Yak's milk to the party???

Looks like everyone beat me to the party. I'd like to bring "In The City" by The Jam.

I've fallen in love again with "Don't go Now" by Ratcat, it's very Australian but will make you smile and dance and all things good. A great kitchen song.

The cover's making me think of Wham!, so how about "Wake Me Up Before I Go Go." It will also help clear out the party, because people are starting to overstay their welcome.

"Superman" by R.E.M. is a pretty irresistible cover of an obscure '60s pop song. One can both party & eat to it.

Sorry I'm really tardy and inebriated. Nonetheless, I still brought 2 litres of economy cider and Smog's hit song
"Our Anniversary" to mellow people out and have them ruminate on their relationships.

I wanted to thank everyone for coming to my party! Everyone is more than welcome to rest their party weary heads in the Basement. I am going to end this mix off with Gram Parsons & The Flying Burrito Brothers version of Wild Horses. My house is mess but it was all worth it.
