Comment:
Obviously, this isn't a Christmas Themed Mix. Rather a response to one of the most dreaded events anyone should have to endure...The Office Holiday Party.
Feedback:
Could I leave you some milk and cookies? A very fine mix indeed :)
Oh my. What a wonderful sorbet to clear the aural palate (ooh - sorry about that) after the endless variations of Jingle Bell Rock and the Christas Song.
Absolutely fantastic. I, too, loathe office parties with every fiber of my being. Please place this on the (mythical) pile. And bah humbug to you, as well. :-)
Love that Tower of Power pick.
Eclectic indeed u old Humbug!
Super-great and eclectic mixed-genre entry, my friend. If you could throw this on the pile for our future tradin', I would definitely dig that in a big way.
Interesting theme, but a great mix also.
Where it's all at (save for Radiohead but I'm happy to be described as the person who hates Radiohead more than any other living soul so don't take offence)& thank fuck I don't have to endure tedious office parties any more. Dropped my boss off at the airport today that leaves me in charge as there's only me & him lol, Then I started the works Chrimbo party on me own. Surprised I can still type at the mo!!!
I might have to thumb wrestle the French one, (we'd need the other hand to hold our drinks!), for the Radiohead title he's claiming; and, like him I go to no office except my own so bring on the party! Ooops, it already started...good go here Musicgnome! (Your plans include playing this at your office party? Looks like a Cassetta strategy to "move 'em out".)
Wow, wow, wow. Makes me light up like a christmas tree just looking at the playlist. Love the Son of P. M. through In Aankhon Ki Masti ending of CD1 Lilliput through Boom Dip ending of CD2 especially. And, uhm, Radiohead rocks!
HELL YES, RADIOHEAD ROCKS!
Never could enjoy Radiohead, wanted to, just couldn't. To each h-is/er own. I love the jazz inclusions.
A topper Chris.
Kenny "Bunny" Wheeler? Very interesting mix.
Ahh ... likeminded holiday curmudgeons!
I like the cut of your jib, sir
Always fine to see the Last Poets on a mix. Your welcome for the far-out sounds from the north. The Kebnekajse track is Forberedelser Till Fest & the Parsons Sounds is India (Slight Return). I too can't understand why I'd want to socialize with people just because we have the same job (or DNA for that matter).
Very nice indeed! Like lo-fi, I definitely appreciate the Last Poets inclusion. Love the Magazine, 808 State, Joy Division and Decemberists too. Oh, and I don't mind admitting to being in the "Radiohead rocks" camp!
excellent - but an office holiday party!!! Sounds awful. Good luck!
You have my sympathy about the office party, but you've got a lot of great tunes to listen to!
