Comment:

I made this mix for myself; I wanted a mix that consisted of tracks very reminiscent (not derivative), of the '60s psychedelic dream pop sound, early psych metal, and late sixties bucket funk. I wanted music that reminded me of Brian Wilson, Syd Barrett, The Rolling Stones, Lennon and McCartney, Zombies, Kinks, Move, Love, Quicksiver Messenger Service, The Small Faces, Black Sabbath, James Brown, The Meters, and The Mar-Keys.
I wanted a mix of music that if snuck into my parent's vinyl collection, would not be out of context. After a couple listens I feel I could do just that.

Really nice! I'm a big fan of artists that are influenced by psych pop from the late 60s, and many of my favorites are represented here (Lilys, Waxwings, AIS). Be sure to check out the Telepathic Butterflies, the Jessica Fletchers and Of Montreal for 60s-inspired fun. Lovely hypnotic cover too.
