Comment:

A tribute to the movies of Alfred Hitchcock. Ive had to amend one or two titles to fit, e.g the Barenaked Ladies track. Id like to do a second disc so if anyone knows of anymore songs that shares its name with a Hitchcock movie i'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction. Also the dates in parenthesis refer to the movie not the song, obviously.

This is awesome :) Hard to believe there's actually a song called "Jamaica Inn". One of the most creative mixes I've ever seen on here. I've often thought of ways to fuse music and movies, my two big passions, for my mixes, but I never give it enough time to gel. If I did, ideally they would turn out something close to the coolness of this, but nowhere near as good.

Some ideas, nothing excellent music-wise (most are good, however) but useful to the theme: "Family Plot" / Monster Movie, "Rebecca" / Summer at Shatter Creek, "Man Who Knew Too Much" / Bill Lloyd, "Strangers on a Train" / Left Banke (there's also a good one by Fahrenheit 451), "The Trouble with Harry" / Shebrews, "Dial M for Murder" / Potato 5, "Das Lifeboat" / Pulsars (not exact but close), "Rope" / Low (also a decent one by Jesus Lizard), and "Easy Virtue" / Robert Walter (although I wouldn't recommend it as a song)

Great idea and some great music on the mix aswell. " Murder " by New Order could possibly go on vol 2.

Excellent stuff. Great movies and mostly great music. I'm trying to think of a North By Northwest- my favourite Hitch movie- but can't... allmusic here I come.

Outstanding!! The Sugargliders do a song called "Letter from A Lifeboat." I believe Hitchcox did a movie called "Lifeboat," though I could be wrong.

All I can say is... damn! Wish I'd thought of this one! I love Hitch... makes me want to suggest a "cheat" Paul Hardcastle's "19" (to go with his odd little film "Number 17.")

Totally terrific. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Hitchcock saddo. Great theme and outstanding execution thereof.

I even, horror of horrors, have a half-finished mix that uses Hitchcockian sound-bites. May have to actually finish it now.I'd be truly amazed if you manage a Volume 2. If anyone can -- it's you.
