Not necessarily *better*, but covers songs that made me like/take notice of the original more. I tried to mix in the camp ones with the more serious covers.Feedback:
I still like Echo's cover more. Most of these had the opposite effect on me, actually - I liked the original and couldn't stand the cover. As for the rest, no amount of covering could convert my hatred (Umbrella, SexyBack, Hot in Herre). No offense, though. Most of this is pretty respected; I'm just a weirdy, I guess. I still dig your idea, and aim to steal it eventually, so thank you. Plus I must admit this is an interesting set list
ted leo's cover is infinitely better than the original, and if mike doesn't see that... well, he's got issues. interesting idea, though i have to say that i'm not into a lot of these covers. outkast being covered by white dudes (who aren't dynamite hack, for example) is just not that thrilling for me.
Great concept. I think there are some songs that scream to be covered by other artists - all of Leonard Cohens for some reason. Nice selections.
