Comment:

This is not your typical pop mix, but a pop mix nonetheless, at least to my ears. Their aren't any catchy in-your-face saccharine pop blasts as I instead made a very quiet, hushed ambient mix minus the soul charged J Dilla track. I put that in just to change the pace a bit. Still lots of melodies. I opened and ended the mix with two Indian songs from two classic Indian films from yonder, Anari and Charulata respectively.
Check out the sounds: 69min:16sec.

Even after the explanation I'm not sure what kind of mix you've got here but it looks intriguing enough to download. The Raveonettes are favorites and, of course, Gilberto.

This looks fantastic, Salman. I love that Sonny Sharrock song, in particular, although I can't imagine calling that "pop" under *any* definition (even if it is one of his more accessible tracks). ;-)

really liked that opener (been into whistling, hand-claps and the like lately), those pretty Au Revoir Simone and Yo La Tengo songs, I need to get me The Raveonettes 'cause this one's as good or even better than the others I've heard... and also liked that Bridget Saint John song a lot. nice vibe on this.
